Racism is defined as a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. We all have, to some degree, experienced some level of racism. On this episode, we wanted to have a heart to heart conversation about our personal experiences with racism.
There appears to be consensus around what is socially known as “white”. However, there are also other ethnicities packed into “white”, according to the Census Bureau; Is what we have come to know as “white”, a social construct?
Many inequities are attributed to racism, and recent movements, including the Black Lives Matter movement, speaks to these issues. In this episode, titled “Race to Someplace”, we explore racism in America, where we are today, and what we think needs to happen tomorrow.
